Today I would like to talk about femininity and the shadow king.

It’s not a secret that there are different energies we encompass in ourselves. I am talking here about feminine and masculine energies. Regardless of our physical gender, we have both of these energies in us, in different proportions of course.

With the above said, I would like to mention that our task is to be aware of both energies, of the ways they act in us, and how we could choose to manifest them. I believe our task is to become whole, in a sense, meaning being able to feel and live our life using both of these energies.

I believe in my core that my nature is very feminine. That means I feel everything from the inside out and everything outside in. I can feel things beyond spoken words and logical reasoning. I can feel everything and everybody simultaneously. I am vulnerable and strong at the same time.

But I am also a product of our culture. Unfortunately, in our current culture, femininity in most cases is equal to weakness.

Femininity somehow got the right to become masculine. It’s almost an obligation these days, which can not be healthy by any stretch, I suppose. It’s physically painful for the feminine to be obligated to be masculine.

On top of that, add the archetype of the shadow patriarch king, which in many cases became the unconscious belief system, even in women’s inner dialogues, and the result is a society with women acting like men and women being harsh to each other; a society where we fight one another, instead of complimenting and complementing each other. It is insanity.

I believe we have to honor both feminine and masculine energies in ourselves and others to create a better world for us all; a world based on mutual respect, love and acceptance.
